My Top Ten Christmas Movies
5. Home Alone: Totally unbelievable no mom would be able to forget their child home, its just not possible, nevertheless funny. This was so much fun, laughs for the kids from start to finish. Kevin was such a bad ass and how he booby trapped that house to catch those two bafoons was even better. Macaulay Culkin made this film and it is one of the most popular films to date.
4. White Christmas: Two retired veterans now entertainers, try to help their retired colonel who has a hotel that's becoming bankrupt. They team up with a pair of sisters entertainers like themselves and put on a show to try and help. The music in this movie was beautiful and it produced one of the greatest Christmas songs to date from one of the most loved performers Bing Crosby.
3. A Christmas Carol: There are so many versions of this movie, Scrooge, The recent Jim Carey one. These movies have a lovely theme and message, we should all be kind and show love to each other not only at Christmas, but all year round. I can't say which version is my favorite, I actually prefer the book to the movies. It's still a classic and lots of fun for the family around this time.
2. Home Alone 2: Hands down best home alone and the funniest. It was way better than its predecessor. Kevin gets lost in the airport takes a flight to New York and maxes out his parents' credit card on a posh hotel, room service, candy, toys (every kids fantasy). Again he meets up with the burglars and gives them a trashing. The funniest part was his dealings with the hotel manager, could never forget that. The backdrop of NYC in the winter also added to my love of this movie.
1.A Christmas Story: I only saw this movie for the first time last year, it always comes on yearly, but I never looked at it before. When I saw it I was pleasantly surprised, it was so funny, the great lengths he went to for his bibi gun. It was hilarious and I loved every minute of it. What I loved the most about it was the family, they weren't extremely wealthy, and they weren't poor. They were the average middle income American family, that everyone could relate to. They were real and lovable, and this movie in my opinion is the greatest Christmas movie.
